Hypoxanthine Modified Polyethylene Glycol Diglycidyl Ether Gel for Ciprofloxacin Adsorption
نویسندگان
چکیده
A hypoxanthine modified polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether gel was prepared by the ring opening polymerization of with in a simple sol-gel method. The structure and composition were characterized SEM, FT-IR, BET XRD. adsorption experiments ciprofloxacin at different pH, temperature, contact time initial concentration studied. results show that is porous average pore size 5.2 nm, optimum pH 5 saturated 240 minutes. maximum equilibrium capacity 56.1 mg/g 308 K according to Langmuir model. repeated could still adsorb 80% first adsorbed after times elution. These indicate can be used as practical adsorbent for aqueous solution.

Silk Fibroin Spheres Crosslinked by Polyethylene Glycol Diglycidyl Ether for Drug Delivery
Silk fibroin (SF) has been widely investigated in biomedical applications due to its biodegradability and biocompatibility. The objective of this work was to prepare SF spheres for drug delivery application. Drug-loaded SF spheres with and without polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether (PEGDE) crosslinking were prepared by a water-in-oil emulsion solvent diffusion method. Blue dextran was used as...
متن کاملSensitive measurement of polyethylene glycol-modified proteins.
An IgM monoclonal antibody (AGP3) against polyethylene glycol (PEG) was used to assay PEG-modified proteins by ELISA. PEG-modified beta-glucuronidase could be measured at concentrations as low as 15 ng/mL, corresponding to 750 pg (1.8 fmol) of conjugate. This ELISA should be generally applicable to all PEG-modified proteins because AGP3 binds the backbone of the PEG chain independent of the lin...
متن کاملPlasma expansion by polyethylene-glycol-modified albumin.
Systemic inflammatory response conditions are associated with capillary leak and haemodynamic compromise. Fluid resuscitation to reverse the ensuing hypovolaemia is, however, complicated by the decreased endothelium reflection coefficient to albumin and other colloids. We developed PEG-Alb (albumin covalently linked to polyethylene glycol) as a potential resuscitative agent. PEG was covalently ...
متن کاملhemoglobin modified with maleimide - activated polyethylene glycol
We have recently described human hemoglobin surfacemodified with polyethylene glycol (MP4, registered trademark Hemospan) that does not possess the vasoconstrictive properties which have hampered development of some hemoglobin-based oxygen carriers. Based on in vitro studies, we postulated that this lack of vasoconstriction is due to decreased diffusive oxygen transfer in the plasma space as a ...
متن کاملProtein adsorption to polyethylene glycol modified liposomes from fibrinogen solution and from plasma.
Unmodified and polyethylene glycol (PEG) modified neutral and negatively charged liposomes were prepared by freeze-thaw and extrusion followed by chromatographic purification. The effects of PEG molecular weight (PEG 550, 2000, 5000), PEG loading (0-15 mol%), and liposome surface charge on fibrinogen adsorption were quantified using radiolabeling techniques. All adsorption isotherms increased m...
